Understanding the Importance of Car Insurance

Posted on January 2, 2009 in the Uncategorized category

When those premium bills arrive, people get a little irksome. After all, no one wants to have to pay a bill. It is simply not a pleasurable experience. Then again, if one thinks about it, car insurance provides such a valuable service, paying the monthly premiums should come as a form of piece of mind.

Car insurance is never something to be taken lightly because it provides the safety umbrella of financial security that is required when driving a car. Often, people take the need for insurance for granted because they generally do not have problems driving. In honestly, the vast majority of drivers in the world are sane and safe divers.

Yes, there are a great many reckless drivers on the road, but their numbers are dwarfed by the magnitude of responsible drivers. While this makes for an image of safe roads and hi-ways, it does not mean that there is 100% safety. In fact, there is always the chance of an errant accident.

Car Insurance – The Hidden Guardian Angel

While we do not like to think about it, the fact remains that there can be a great deal of damage to person as well as property. Additionally, we try to avoid thinking about the tremendous financial liability costs that may result from such a situation. This is why car insurance should never be taken for granted as it provides the financial means to survive a liability claim.

Conversely, it does not have to be your car insurance policy that provides you with the financial windfall that will divert economic disaster in the face of a liability claim. How can this be? Because if the other driver is at fault and is properly insured, then you will be able to collect money that you would never had been able to collect if the driver was uninsured. Hence, this is why car insurance in mandatory by law.

Car Insurance and the Law

That little notion about the law is something that should never be overlooked either. Driving without car insurance could lead to suspension of driving privileges and, in some instances, heavy fines or even jail time. As one can see, the state and local governments take matters of properly maintaining one’s insurance responsibility seriously. It is simply not an area that should be neglected.

Maintaining proper car insurance requirements essentially is an act of protection. Follow your responsibilities and you not only protect yourself, but also those on the road. Be mindful and never neglectful. Online auto auction

Buying a Brand New Car

Posted on January 2, 2009 in the Uncategorized category

We are in the midst of a full blown credit crunch, yet people are still wanting to have the most extravagant new cars under there belts. No matter how poor someone is they always want the best car.

Let’s have a look at a few reasons why people love cars so much and why they have to make themselves struggle to drive in luxury.

Social Pressure
This is probably one of the main reasons why people are buying brand new cars. What is worse than stepping out in an old banger and then observing your friends or a family member driving a top of the range vehicle. People do not want other people to see that they are struggling, so they go out and buy a new vehicle even though they cant afford to show everyone they have made it in there lives.

Showing Off
A lot of people want to buy a new car to show off, they love all the attention they get from having people look at them when they stand still next to traffic lights or pull up in a crowded area.

Speed
Some people love vehicles that go fast, they know that by buying a new car, it will ultimately fill there thirst for driving at fast speeds. New vehicles run a lot smoother. Even diesel vehicles are quite fast these days.

Relaxation
A lot of people just purchase a new car simply for the relaxation factor. This is 100% true if people are travelling long distances. They want to relax and have all of the latest technologies that are open.

Collectors
Some people are quite lucky to be well off, these people tend to have a habit of just buying new cars and collecting them, they usually end up sitting in the drive and then get sold off after a few years. But to the buyer it does not really matter as they have the money to effectively feed their collection habit.

There is nothing wrong with purchasing a new car; alot of people look at new vehicles. But make sure that you have the correct finances in place to actually afford the vehicle as if not you will probably end up getting yourself into a lot of debt and effectively the debt company may well take back the vehicle from you, leaving you with nothing.

Acura Blower Motor

Posted on January 1, 2009 in the Uncategorized category

The blower motor in your car is there to primarily force all the air conditioned or hot air through your system for your enjoyment in the passenger carrying area. Every time you turn the fan on to high, your blower motor is responsible for making the flow of air higher. If you notice one setting on your fan is putting out much less than all the others, you could say that a blower motor is necessary.

So to start with, you will need to move out the battery cable off of the negative side, or the black side of the battery. Now you need to take off the blower motor lead connector, which is placed on the wiring harness connector. Now you need to remove the retaining screws from the sides. Pull the cooling tube off of the old blower motor and leave it aside. Grab the entire blower motor now and turn it just somewhat to the right so that the edge of the wheel well splash guard and the bottom of the motor match shapes. Now all that’s left is to pull up on the blower motor and get it out of the housing area. You have just took out your own blower motor!

To replace it, you will simply do these steps in reverse. Lay the new blower motor into the housing beneath your dash. You now need to again turn it a bit to the right side so that the mounting plate and wheel well splash panel match shapes again, and then sit it down completely. Now you have to put the four screws that hold the blower motor back into place or it will shift and wiggle back out. Now is the time to put the cooling tube back into place by only pushing it back until it falls into the right place. All that is left is to reconnect the blower motor lead connector to the wiring harness connector and put the battery cable back into position. To control your installment all you have to do is turn your heat on with the vehicle running. If there is no air flow through the vents, you will need to uninstall again and try to reinstall correctly. Sometimes this problem is caused by not having the blower motor seated correctly down into the housing at the right angle. Very easy to fix, and not a lot of time, but it saves you a great deal of money. If you’re looking for a cheap Acura CL Blower Motor, the best thing to do is to visit our site!

Tips For Choosing The Best Used ATV

Posted on December 31, 2008 in the Uncategorized category

Deciding on whether or not purchasing a atv requires serious thought and a long hard look at your finances. Before rushing out and buying the first atv you come across, there are a few hard and fast tips you should follow.

By following the used atv buying tips below, you can help ensure that you won’t be laying down your cold hard cash for someone elses problem.

The first thing you’ll want to do is check out the tires. If they’re worn out or full of plugs and patches, this could indicate abuse or lack of proper maintenance. Are the treads worn and slick? If they’re not in good shape, expect to pay out several hundred for new atv tires.

Always take a friend with you when going to look at an used atv. Raise the ATV up if possible to check the underside. Make sure to look at all the shock points and check for any rust or damaged areas. This includes cracks in the frame. Look for signs of fresh paint. This may mean a recent repair.

If you’re {buying|purchasing} a used 4×4 atv, check out the cv joint boots. If they are cracked, this can allow water to get inside. This will cause rust and lead to major damage, which leads to major repair cost!

Check the engine oil as well as the oil in the differentials. Chocolate colored oil, or milky looking oil, means water. This could lead to a whole host of problems.

Worn sprockets will show excessive wear on one side. The same is true if the sprockets have a hook appearance. Expect to replace both the chain and sprocket if you find either of these.

If you can get the front end up on jack stands, check the wheel bearings by moving the wheels in and out and side to side. Do this on the front and back. Worn bearings can lead to spindle damage.

To check for worn tie rod ends, try and move the handle bars back and forth. There should be little to no play.

The air box is one place many used atv buyers fail to check. You can find it beneath the seat by removing it. Dirt or water inside the air box is bad news.

Don’t forget to check for rust in the gas tank. You check for this by taking a flashlight and shining it into the tank. Rust can decrease the life of your engine dramatically.

Check the electrical system by turning on the lights. You also should make sure any cigarrete lighter plug works. These are used for accessories.

Once you’re done checking out the machine, take it for a ride. Listen for any unusual noise. Note how it handles and be on the lookout for any loose parts.

Does the exhaust have the spark arrestor in place? Many owners remove these. However, National Forest and other public trails require spark arrestor’s to be in place. Owners without them can be fined and prevented from riding in these places.

Another important thing you want to check is the age of the atv itself. You may be able to pick up older atv’s inexpensively, but many times you’ll have difficulty in locating atv parts for these older machines. If you can try to stick with atv’s that are only a few years old.

Follow these used atv buying tips and you’ll increase your chances of purchasing a quality used atv that will give you many years of service. They’re not hard to follow. You just need to remain focused and don’t let the Seller pressure you into making a rush decision or ignoring the tips above.

Can You Run Your Car On Water?

Posted on December 30, 2008 in the Uncategorized category

With the oil ores on the verge of extinction, there is much chaos around the globe for an equivalent substitute. One such alternative is water. But can you really run your car on water?

The answer to that question is not as simple as water alone as a fuel hasn´t been so successful as of yet, water along with some additives is being tested, water to emerge as a single fuel might be a step way when we can visualize a much more realistic approach to this problem.

The current technology for cars to run on water is not a new idea actually. Back in the 1920s, the idea of using water to power your cars has already been conceived and has been tested successfully.

However, as gas was still pretty cheap and available everywhere, there wasn´t a need for this technology and so it was not adopted worldwide. Plus, it was expensive to assemble the components need to run water on car.

Today, due to modern technological advances, the process of converting water to power your car is simpler and it does not cost much money. In fact, you probably can buy all the components need in your garage or your local hardware store.

How Does It Work?

The whole process runs something like this when everything is assembled together and all set up, a small portion of the electrical energy is used to separate the water into a gas called the HHO which is two parts of hydrogen and one part of oxygen which is technically known as brown´s gas or chemically know as hydroxyl.

The electrical energy can be tapped via your car battery and it only needs a small amount to be able to produce brown´s gas.

This gas burns efficiently and does give satisfactory amount of energy the, pound for pound. HHO gas are aforementioned to be three times more powerful than gasoline, where the atomic power of the hydrogen plays a major role then the oxygen, by sustaining its stability after separating away from the oxygen into water molecule.

Not only does it provide the same power as gasoline, the only output is water and thus it is much more environmentally friendly.

Ozzie Freedom Water4Gas is a guide that will show you how to convert your car to run on water. The process is simple and Water4Gas will show you step by step how to do it. Read my Water4Gas review and learn how you can start saving money on gas today.

Keep Your Van Safe

Posted on December 29, 2008 in the Uncategorized category

Vans are, without doubt, one of the most practical and versatile forms of road transport available. They are used extensively by businesses for commercial purpose but, increasingly, private individuals are opting for a versatile and practical van in preference to a car.

Attractive van lease contracts that make paying for your van cheaper than an equivalent saloon are one of the reasons for this increased popularity. Another is simply the versatility of a van. If you are one of the many people these days who enjoy some form of outdoor activity, or sports, and you need to transport a whole load of equipment, maybe for climbing or camping, then a van is a great way to transport that equipment to where you want to go.

But if you own a van, for work or pleasure, it is worth remembering that they can be a magnet for thieves. Take precautions when you leave your van unattended. Ideally, don't leave anything of value inside the van and always lock the doors. Even when you are filling up with petrol as there have been cases of vans being targeted while the driver queued to pay their fuel bill.

Leaving valuable tools and equipment in a van is inviting trouble. While it can be a pain to empty your van every evening and store your tools in a garage or lockup, then load up again the following day. Doing this can save you lots of aggravation and money. Putting a sticker in the window of your van telling people that 'no tools are kept in this van' is not really much of a deterrent these days. Many criminals will break in anyway, often by smashing a window, just to check that the van is actually empty.

Van insurance is clearly essential. If your van is used for business purposes then make certain you take out a suitable commercial insurance policy. Don't accept the first quote you get, always shop around to find the most suitable and best priced deal available. For example, it is easy to find inclusive policies that cover things like windscreen replacement, vehicle electronics including stereos, sat navs and car phones. Shop around and you are bound to find a great deal.

How To Handle Car Insurance Claims

Posted on December 29, 2008 in the Uncategorized category

Having a car accident is one of life’s least pleasant moments and your day is about to get worse. Now you need to call your insurance company and file a claim. Many people are apprehensive about filing car insurance claims because of all of the horror stories they have heard over the years, such as your premium rate will skyrocket if you ever have to file a claim or that the insurance company will do everything in their power not to pay.Never fear.If you have chosen a reputable company to do business with, they will do their best to make the car insurance claims process as quick and painless as possible.

Know What Your Policy Covers

The first step in submitting car insurance claims is to know what your policies cover. If you submit a claim for an item that is not covered by your policy, the claim will be rejected and you will have to pay those costs out of pocket. If you have any questions about the policy or what is covers, call your insurance agent and ask them to explain it to you.You should review your car insurance claims information periodically to keep your self up to date in case of an accident.

Exchange Information With The Other Driver

Another important step in filing car insurance claims is to exchange information with the other driver involved in the accident. Each party involved in the accident should get the full name, address, phone number, insurance company, and insurance company’s phone number of the other party.

Jotting down the license plate number of the other car may be a good idea as well. This will help you identify the other party to your insurance company when filing your claim.  It will also help to obtain an accident report from the police to assist in the car insurance claims process.

Contact Your Car Insurance Company’s Claims Division

The last step in filing car insurance claims is to contact the insurance company you have a policy with directly and let them know that you’ve had an accident.Different companies have different procedures for filing claims, so you may have to review your policy or contact general information at the insurance company to find out what to do.

A claims adjuster will determine who was at fault and who should be held responsible for the cost of repairing the vehicles.Filing car insurance claims are no fun but they are better than the alternative of paying the total cost of repairs out of your own pocket. Police auto auction

Car Running on Water - Just Imagine Your Car Running on Water

Posted on December 28, 2008 in the Uncategorized category

The renovation has been spoken about all through this election year, and change is what every American thinks when it comes to saving money. Indeed more cash is demanded elsewhere in everyone’s budget, and finding a way to save will help greatly. In essence the question is; “Can I have my car running on water and serving me cheaply with the same efficiency as on gas?”

The price of oil this year has sent ripples across the world, and Americans have not been left behind. So it is no surprise at all that hydrogen has become interesting!

Evidently, even though critics may confront you with challenges and questions, you can have your car running on water and it will save you hundreds of dollars in gas bills. Let me show you some technical aspects to provide a proper basis. Here are the facts…

The Process

This process starts with the separation of water, commonly a combination of two hydrogen molecules to one oxygen molecule (H2O). This is done by the use of the charge from your car battery. This changes the water into independent molecules of hydrogen and water. This, written as HHO, will maintain the continuity of the water and at the same time run the engine. The most amazing thing is that instead of pollution, only water will be produced in the end of this process!

The great hydrogen technology is now faced by rejection from oil producers who know that due to the availability of water and the greater simplicity of engine maintenance, they will not have much business anymore. Politics of oil and trade have also lead to the less penetration of hydrogen.

Will America Rethink the Fuel Strategy?

It is no surprise then that with these benefits, America will need to rethink the fuel strategy as water is cost effective and environmentally sound. Water will give Americans the power over their energy spending. You should not be left behind while all this is happening. Start looking for the best conversion instruments available in the market today for getting your car running on water, that might just be the Change we all need.
